Deidre Fisher's Photography

My photography includes nature, primarily landscapes, as well as scenes involving color and pattern that intrigue me. I have been drawn to the beauty -- my own human sense of beauty -- in natural settings close to home and on Cape Cod. I enjoy visiting these places and cannot resist the urge to photograph them. While, in some ways, a photograph is a scientific record or document, my intention is to create an abstraction -- a metaphor for beauty as I see it, and, perhaps, as you see it.

NESOP workshop

I'm really enjoying the digital photography workshop I'm taking at New England School of Photography (NESOP). There's a whole range of photography experience in the class and homework assignments are pretty cool thanks to Jennifer (Moller). Some are learning some basic exposure principles so assignments could be boring but Jennifer inspires creativity which is great. Now I'm ready to get a macro lens as I have been enjoying creating abstractions.
